ST. VRAIN COUNTY?  Is it time for Longmont to become a breakaway republic?

AIRPORT NOISE - The ever popular and globally visited Noise Complaint Log.

for the years 2003-2005

The City Budget - Take another look at those City Staff salaries, send in your stories of financial waste on their part.

Public Works - Dark lots, trash trucks, and firings-oh my.  Also, City employees are possibly feeling a little like day laborers on the corner lining up to "help" move furniture for a City Director.  Read about it and an article from the Times-Call

Potpourri - Random stuff from our readers.  Letters to this site, or elsewhere that went published or not.

Have something you want posted HERE? Send an email with an a) headline, and b) story about issues within the City of Longmont.  Include contact information and any supporting documentation.  Initially keep it short enough to fit on this front page, if it's large enough to warrant its own page later, we'll worry about that when the time comes.  Keep it clean, constructive, and not too abrasive (a little is okay).  This is not a public forum free-for-all, unless of course you're willing to pay for your space - didn't think so.

2003 Election

The 2003 election is over, and the incumbents all won.  I'll give you a slightly different look at the results compared to the Times-Call and Boulder County's election results.  The big difference?  I'll only include Longmont elections, and more importantly count the "Time Blank Voted" as what it really is - a "None Of The Above" vote.  This number was not included in the total votes, which gave an uncontested winner 100%, which of course they didn't receive.  Also I'll break it down by voter turnout.  Numbers are from the Times-Call website, instances of "Times Over Voted" were deleted, which didn't amount to anything anyway.

Mayor

City Council Member, Ward 3

Estimated registered voters = 17,491
